Karnataka targets $3 trillion economy by 2047, unveils AI university

Karnataka is a big state in India, and its leader D.K. Shivakumar made a special speech on Independence Day.

In the speech, he said he wants Karnataka to grow so much that its economy becomes worth $3 trillion by the year 2047.

He also promised to fill 72,000 empty government jobs and create 100,000 more jobs in the next two years.

Children in Karnataka will learn about AI, which is how computers can think and learn, starting from Class six.

Bengaluru will get India's first public AI university, where students can study AI in depth.

New programs called AI Akshara Abhiyaan and Coding Gurukul will teach young people digital skills.

Shivakumar also wants to make Bengaluru greener by building five large tree parks.

Seven lakes around the city will be cleaned and fixed so they can collect rainwater underground.

This will help reduce the city's drinking water shortage and give people more water.
