Cyber Cop Jaipur Camp Urges Citizens to Pause, Verify, Report
A cyber-safety workshop was held in Jaipur to teach people how to avoid online scams.
It explained that criminals may use calls, messages, links or QR codes to trick people.
Some scams pretend to be about KYC checks, banks, police or government officials.
New technology, including artificial intelligence, can help criminals create convincing voices and messages.
AI can also help security teams defend against attacks.
People were told to act quickly if they lose money or share information.
The first 60 minutes after a cybercrime may be especially important for reporting and preserving evidence.
The workshop’s simple advice was to pause, verify and report.
The Cyber Cop Digital Safety Camp’s Jaipur Chapter was held on 29 August 2026 at Holiday Inn Jaipur City Centre.
The Bandhan Bank CSR initiative covered KYC scams, phishing, QR-code fraud, WhatsApp impersonation and AI-enabled voice scams.
Experts stressed the “Golden Hour,” urging victims to report incidents quickly through helpline 1930, their bank and official cybercrime channels.
A Rajasthan Police case study warned that there is no such thing as a digital arrest and advised citizens not to transfer money under pressure.
