Canada Approves C$350 Million Air Defense Package for Ukraine

Canada is giving Ukraine C$350 million to help buy air defense missiles.

These missiles can help protect people and important buildings from Russian attacks.

The weapons will be purchased through a U.S. program.

Canada has not said exactly which interceptors it will provide or when deliveries will begin.

Ukraine says it urgently needs more air defense because its supplies are running low.

Canada also wants to make millions of drones within the next two years.

About one-third of those drones could go to Ukraine.

Canada will additionally provide loan guarantees to help Ukraine keep its energy system working, especially during winter.
