Blind Candidate Seeks DUSU Election, Elevates Disability Representation

Pankaj Dhingra is a blind law student at Delhi University.

He wants to run in the university’s student union election.

He is campaigning with a student group linked to the Aam Aadmi Party.

His campaign says students with disabilities should have a stronger voice on campus.

It says they should be able to participate in student politics and become leaders.

The group also says students with disabilities still face barriers to opportunities and campus life.

The election is planned for September 18.

Votes are expected to be counted and results announced the next day.
