Farooq Abdullah: Modi Should Have Addressed J&K Statehood
Farooq Abdullah, a leader in Jammu and Kashmir, said that instead of talking about GST (a tax system), the Prime Minister should have talked about restoring the statehood of Jammu and Kashmir.
He mentioned that everyone in J&K hopes the Supreme Court will rule in favor of restoring statehood.
Abdullah also discussed a local legislator's inappropriate language and the subsequent arrest, stating that the language was wrong, but the arrest was also wrong, because the matter could have been solved through talks.
He believes the current governance in J&K is difficult, but necessary, and that they cannot step back from the process.
Farooq Abdullah believes PM Modi should have discussed J&K statehood in his address.
Modi discussed GST reforms in his address to the nation.

Abdullah commented on the detention of an AAP MLA, saying his language was inappropriate, but the PSA was wrong.
