India’s Q1 GDP Growth Hits 7.8%, Beats RBI Estimate

India’s economy grew by 7.8% from April to June.

This period was the first quarter of the 2026-27 financial year.

The growth was faster than the Reserve Bank of India expected.

The RBI had predicted growth of 7%.

The value of goods and services produced in India increased compared with the same period last year.

Real GDP reached Rs 81.36 lakh crore.

Nominal GDP rose by 10.3% to Rs 88.27 lakh crore.

The figures suggest the economy continued growing despite difficult conditions around the world.
