Karra Says J-K People Caught Between Two Power Centres

Tariq Hameed Karra is a Congress leader in Jammu and Kashmir.

He said people there feel stuck between two powerful authorities because the region does not have full statehood.

He blamed the central government and the BJP for this situation.

Karra said the BJP had promised to restore statehood after the Assembly elections.

He claimed that the promise has not been fulfilled and that BJP leaders are now silent.

He also said young people are facing unemployment, exam paper leaks and recruitment problems.

Karra accused the BJP of using protests to distract people from these issues.

The BJP’s response to his accusations was not included in the report.
