TCA Opposes HCA's Inter-District T20 League
The Telangana Cricket Association (TCA) has objected to a new cricket tournament proposed by the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA).
The TCA says the tournament, named after the father of former HCA presidents, breaks important cricket rules and has conflicts of interest.
They also mentioned that the HCA has not followed orders from the cricket board (BCCI) and the court.
The TCA wants the authorities to stop the tournament until all the rules are followed and legal issues are resolved.
There are also ongoing investigations and unpaid fines related to the HCA, which adds to the concerns raised by the TCA.
TCA formally objected to HCA's proposed inter-district T20 league, alleging violations of BCCI rules and judicial orders.
The tournament is named after late G. Venkata Swamy, father of former HCA presidents, raising conflict of interest concerns.
TCA cited past disputes involving Vishaka Industries and unpaid High Court directives amounting to Rs 67 crore.
HCA accounts are frozen, and investigations by CID, ACB, and ED are ongoing, including recent arrests of HCA officials.
TCA urged authorities to restrain HCA from conducting the tournament until full compliance with BCCI directives and resolution of pending legal matters.
