Deepinder Goyal Reveals LAT Aerospace Vision
Deepinder Goyal, the founder of Zomato, has started a new company called LAT Aerospace.
The company wants to make small airplanes that can take off and land in very short distances, like 20 to 50 meters.
This means you won't need big airports anymore.
Instead, you could have small airstrips near you, and a small airplane could take you directly to your destination.
This idea could make traveling much faster and easier, especially for short trips.
For example, instead of spending six hours to go to Chandigarh by car or flight with all the waiting time, you could take a quick flight from a nearby airstrip.
The company also wants to use electric motors and batteries to make the airplanes more energy-efficient and produce fewer emissions.
Goyal believes this could help distribute wealth and improve life in remote areas.
LAT Aerospace aims to develop STOL aircraft capable of taking off and landing in 20-50 meters, eliminating the need for traditional airports.
The startup plans to use electric motors, batteries, and turbogenerators for energy-efficient and low-emission aircraft.
Founders Deepinder Goyal and Surobhi Das envision small airstrips near residential areas for direct point-to-point travel.
The goal is to reduce travel time and improve regional connectivity, making travel as quick as driving for short distances.
LAT Aerospace aims to distribute economic benefits to remote areas and attract talent to work on this 'moonshot' project.
