Preparations for Amarnath Yatra focus on safety
The government is getting ready for the Amarnath Yatra, a big pilgrimage that happens every year in July and August.
They are marking areas that might be dangerous because of disasters along the two routes to the Amarnath shrine.
The chief secretary, Atal Dulloo, has told everyone involved to make sure everything is ready on time.
This includes making sure there are enough doctors and hospitals, good roads, and enough water and electricity.
They also want to make sure only people who are registered and healthy can go on the pilgrimage.
The goal is to keep everyone safe and make sure the pilgrimage goes smoothly.
Disaster-prone areas along the Pahalgam and Baltal routes to the Amarnath shrine will be marked ahead of the yatra.
Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo directed no utilities or temporary structures be installed in high-risk zones.
Departments were asked to complete all tendering and procurement processes within a month.
Health preparedness is a key focus, with directions to deploy adequate medical staff and strengthen health facilities.
Only RFID-registered pilgrims with valid health certificates will be allowed to undertake the pilgrimage.
