Patna's Marine Drive to Undergo Green Makeover Under New Project
Imagine Patna's Marine Drive becoming much greener and prettier!
The government is starting a project called Samagra Udyan Yojana to make this happen.
They will turn a 7 km area along the Ganga River into a beautiful green space with gardens, paths for walking and cycling, and even a butterfly park.
The project aims to help nature lovers, tourists, and locals alike, and provide women entrepreneurs a place to sell their goods.
The first part of the project will cost around Rs 387 crore.
A lot of the land will be for plants and open space.
There will also be space for parking.
Samagra Udyan Yojana will develop a 7 km stretch of Marine Drive in Patna into a green zone.
The project includes gardens, walking paths, a butterfly park, and food courts.
Approximately 90% of the area will be dedicated to greenery, with around one lakh saplings planted.
Mahila Haat will offer permanent stalls for women entrepreneurs to sell their products.
Parking facilities will be added to accommodate over 13,000 two-wheelers and 4,000 four-wheelers.
