Capgemini CEO Says AI Debate Still Shadows IT Services

Capgemini CEO Says AI Debate Still Shadows IT Services

People are debating whether artificial intelligence will be good or bad for IT services companies.

AI may let companies complete some technology work with fewer people.

That could reduce demand for some traditional IT services.

Capgemini CEO Aiman Ezzat says AI will also create many new projects.

Companies will need to change their technology, processes, workers’ skills and sometimes their business models to use AI.

He estimates this new work could be worth $400 billion to $500 billion.

Capgemini expects the wider IT services industry to grow 4%-5% over the next three to four years if this opportunity develops.

The company is doing better and raised its 2026 growth forecast.

However, investors still do not know whether AI will create more work than it removes.
