Australia mourns victims amid new shooting
Australia is very sad because of two bad events that happened.
First, some people were shooting at others who were celebrating a special Jewish holiday called Hanukkah at Bondi Beach.
Fifteen people died, which is very tragic.
The whole country is remembering and honoring the people who were hurt or lost their lives.
The prime minister, Anthony Albanese, said that today is a day to show love and support to the Jewish community.
There was a special event at the Sydney Opera House with a minute of silence, speeches, and candles.
The government is also working to make sure this kind of thing doesn't happen again by making new rules about guns and hate speech.
On the same day, another shooting happened in a small town called Lake Cargelligo, where three people were killed and one was hurt.
The police are still looking for the person who did it.
