Simhastha Kumbh 2027 Aims to Put Nashik Global
Nashik will host the Simhastha Kumbh Mela in 2027.
Millions of people may visit for religious reasons.
The city wants visitors to see more than its temples and river sites.
It also wants to show its forts, caves, vineyards, farms, crafts and food.
Businesses and local industries may use the event to meet visitors and investors.
Cultural programmes, exhibitions and food festivals could help promote the city.
Roads, water systems, hospitals, sanitation and transport are being improved for the event.
The larger goal is for people to return to Nashik later as tourists, business visitors and cultural travellers.
The Nashik-Trimbakeshwar Simhastha Kumbh Mela 2027 is being positioned as a global showcase for Nashik.
Organizers aim to highlight Nashik’s religious heritage alongside its culture, agriculture, industry, vineyards and cuisine.
Digital platforms, multilingual information and international publicity could encourage visitors to explore beyond pilgrimage sites.
Exhibitions, festivals and business events are planned to promote local industries, MSMEs, agricultural products and handicrafts.
Infrastructure upgrades for transport, sanitation, healthcare, accommodation and disaster management are expected to benefit Nashik long term.
