Iran Signals Offensive Doctrine and Retaliation Plans Against US

Iran says its military is changing how it prepares for war.

Its army spokesman said the country used to focus mainly on defense but is now preparing for faster and broader responses.

He said this does not always mean Iran would attack first.

Iran has proposed paying people who kill or capture American soldiers if US troops enter Iran.

The proposed reward would be larger if a woman carried out the act.

Iran would also buy the weapon used and put it in a military museum.

Three Iranian pilots are still missing after an attack involving a US base in Qatar, according to the spokesman.

Iran says it is asking Qatar and international authorities for answers.

The spokesman also said a new regional security pact showed that US influence in the region may be declining.
