Police Arrest Actors, Politicians Protesting Netanyahu Outside United Nations

Police arrested at least 30 people during a protest outside the United Nations.

The protesters opposed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Israel’s actions in Gaza.

About 200 people joined the demonstration.

The rally was organized by Jewish Voice for Peace.

Protesters wore white shirts with messages such as “No war” and “Free Palestine.”

Police said the group was blocking traffic and ordered people to leave.

Some protesters moved to sidewalks, but others stayed seated in the street.

Officers tied the protesters’ hands with zip ties and took them to police buses.

Netanyahu spoke inside the United Nations and defended Israel’s actions.
