Women Should Not Be Dragged Into Political Battles
Nara Bhuvaneswari, the wife of the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, spoke to a crowd at a temple in Yamaganapalli.
She said that politicians should not use women as weapons in politics.
She compared the situation to a story from the Mahabharata where a woman named Draupadi was humiliated.
Bhuvaneswari said that people should not attack her or other women to hurt her husband’s political standing.
She thanked the people of Andhra Pradesh for supporting her family during tough times, like when her husband was detained in a case and when a bomb attack happened.
She wants everyone to respect women and not use them for political fights.
Nara Bhuvaneswari urged politicians not to involve women in political score‑settling.
She delivered the message at a prayer ceremony for Goddess Draupadi at Dharmarajulu Swamy Temple in Yamaganapalli during a visit to Kuppam.
Bhuvaneswari compared the situation to Draupadi’s humiliation in the Mahabharata, stressing that women should not be targeted for political gains.
