South Western Railway scraps Mysuru–Kushalnagar line

The South Western Railway has decided not to build a new train route between Mysuru and Kushalnagar.

They started planning this 87-kilometer line in 2018, but after studying it, they found that not enough people would use it.

Building the line would cost a lot of money, and they wouldn't make that money back from ticket sales or transporting goods.

So, they decided to cancel the project to save money.

They had already started the process of finding the best path for the train tracks and would have needed to buy a lot of land, but now they won't need to do that.
