BJP Leader's Remarks on Mamata Banerjee Spark Controversy
A leader from the BJP party in India said some very mean things about the Chief Minister of West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee.
He called her a 'witch' and said she should be hurt.
This made the Trinamool Congress party, which supports Mamata Banerjee, very angry.
They said these words are like a call to hurt someone and they reported the leader to the police.
The BJP party hasn't said anything about this yet.
The Trinamool party also mentioned that the Prime Minister has said mean things about Mamata Banerjee before, which they think is not right.
They are worried that this kind of talk is making people more violent.
BJP leader Sanjay Das called Mamata Banerjee a 'witch' and suggested 'beheading' her.
Trinamool Congress filed a police complaint against Sanjay Das.
The remarks were made at a BJP event attended by former state BJP chief Dilip Ghosh.
