OTT Releases: Mario Sequel, Main Vaapas Aaunga, Lenin, More
This weekend, lots of new movies are coming to streaming services, so people can watch them at home.
On August 7, seven different films will be released.
One movie is a sequel to the popular Super Mario Bros movie, and it will be available in four languages.
Another movie called Main Vaapas Aaunga is a drama set during the Partition of India, and it already played in theaters for 50 days.
There is also an action movie called Lenin, starring Akhil Akkineni, about an orphan who grows up next to a village leader's son.
A scary movie called The Last House is about a family that gets stuck inside their own home and cannot escape.
There is also a Malaysian action movie about two crime bosses who control ivory smuggling.
And there are Tamil movies about love and family, one about a man scared right before his wedding and one about a mother who sacrifices a lot for her family.
All these movies can be watched on platforms like Netflix, JioHotstar, ZEE5 and ManoramaMax.
It is a good weekend to grab some snacks and watch a movie at home.
Seven films across multiple genres and languages premiere on OTT platforms on August 7, including The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, Main Vaapas Aaunga, Lenin, Idhayam Murali, The Last House, Kattalan and Nooru Sami.
The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, the sequel to The Super Mario Bros Movie (2023), will be available in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu on JioHotstar.
Imtiaz Ali's Partition-set drama Main Vaapas Aaunga, which completed 50 days in cinemas, makes its digital debut on Netflix starring Sharvari, Vedang Raina, Naseeruddin Shah and Diljit Dosanjh.
Akhil Akkineni's rural action drama Lenin, about an orphan raised alongside a village head's son, releases on ZEE5.
Kattalan, a Malayalam action thriller and the third instalment in the Mikhael Extended Universe, premieres on ManoramaMax and follows two crime bosses running rival ivory smuggling networks.
The Last House, a survival thriller starring Greta Lee and Wagner Moura about a family of four sealed inside their home, releases on Netflix.
