Bhopal DMS Students Protest Proposed Merger With KVS
Students in Bhopal are protesting a plan to merge their school with the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan.
They want the school to keep its own name, teaching style and identity.
About 300 to 400 students joined the protest.
Parents also joined because they are unsure how admissions would work after a merger.
They want to know what would happen to current students and teachers.
They are also asking about the school’s vocational courses.
The school has about 1,000 students from nursery through Class 12.
Students said they may hold more protests if their concerns are not answered.

Students submitted a memorandum to Regional Institute of Education principal Prof SK Gupta seeking to retain the school’s separate identity.
