PM Modi to Inaugurate Guwahati's Nature-Themed Airport Terminal
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will open a new airport terminal in Guwahati, Assam on December 20, 2025.
This terminal is special because it is India's first nature-themed airport, inspired by Assam's biodiversity and culture.
It is very big, covering 1.4 lakh square metres, and can handle up to 1.3 crore passengers every year.
The design includes lots of bamboo, plants, and motifs that represent Assam's heritage.
The terminal has modern features like full-body scanners and digital travel systems to make travel easier and safer.
The old terminal will eventually be closed, but for now, international flights will still use it.
The airport is run by a company called Guwahati International Airport Limited, which is part of the Adani group.
The Assam government is also planning another terminal in the future because they expect more passengers.
