8th Pay Commission Opens Bengaluru Meeting Applications for Stakeholders
The 8th Central Pay Commission is listening to government employees, unions and pensioners before making recommendations about pay and benefits.
It will meet stakeholders in Bengaluru on 7-8 October 2026.
Eligible groups must apply online by 18 September.
They must have already sent a memorandum and not yet met the commission.
The commission also plans meetings in Chennai, Puducherry and Chandigarh.
A visit to Mumbai is planned, but its date has not been announced.
The commission is studying salaries, allowances, promotions and other benefits.
Its final report is due by May 2027.

Applications are open to central government and Union Territory employee groups, unions and associations that submitted memorandums but have not met the commission.

The commission is reviewing pay, allowances, benefits and other employment conditions affecting about 50 lakh employees and 65 lakh pensioners.
