In Nashik, India, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and police conducted raids on January 7-9, 2024, to stop the production and sale of banned tobacco products.

They seized goods worth ₹9.7 crore, including cigarettes, flavored tobacco, and packing machines.

The raids took place at two locations: Elitecon International Limited in Talegaon, Dindori, and Golden Cryo Private Limited in Padli Deshmukh.

Eleven people were booked under the Indian Penal Code and the Food Safety Act.
