15 Elephants Die in Kenya's Amboseli National Park
In Kenya's Amboseli National Park, 15 elephants have died over the past month.
Ten of them showed signs of partial paralysis before dying within two days, while the other five were found dead with their carcasses partially eaten by scavengers.
Most of the elephants affected were female and their calves, with only one male among the dead.
The deaths happened in the Kimana Sanctuary and Kuku Ranch areas.
Authorities are investigating and have found a potential toxic substance in preliminary tests.
They are also checking water sources and other environmental contaminants to see if the elephants were exposed to something harmful.
There is no evidence that this condition can spread to humans.
