In Amadalavalasa, a town in India, police arrested a man named Chintada Ravi Kumar and nine of his party workers.

They are members of a political party called YSRC.

The police say the group behaved badly towards a woman police officer, sub-inspector Burja Pravalika.

The alleged misbehaviour happened while she was on duty during a visit by Jagan Mohan Reddy, the former chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, on July 30.

Before his arrest, Mr. Ravi Kumar made a video saying he had not run away from the police.

He said he would surrender within an hour if the cases against his party workers were withdrawn.

A police team stopped him at a junction near Ranasthalam, and hundreds of YSRC supporters gathered to watch.

Police have registered a case against 21 people in total, and earlier arrested Ravi Kumar's younger brother Chintada Krishna with eight other workers.

Now the police will investigate what really happened and decide what to do next.
