Driver Suffers 40% Burns After Car Fire In Indore

Rupesh Yadav was driving his car in Indore when it suddenly caught fire.

He was trapped inside the vehicle.

Traffic police officers came quickly to help him.

They could not open the doors, so they broke the windows and pulled him out.

Yadav suffered burns covering about 40% of his body.

Police took him to a hospital in a loading rickshaw because he needed urgent care.

His condition was described as critical.

Investigators think an electrical short circuit in the older car may have started the fire.

The fire also slowed traffic for a short time.
