Bata India shares hit 7-year low
Bata India's shares have fallen to their lowest point in seven years.
The company has been struggling, with its stock price dropping a lot since 2021.
In the last few months, the shares have been going down almost every month, losing almost half their value.
The company's recent financial results were also not good, with less money coming in and lower profits.
This is because people are buying less, there was a problem at one of their big warehouses, and they had to spend more on marketing.
However, there are some signs that things might be getting better, like more sales in their premium brands and some new initiatives to improve their stores.
Bata India shares hit a 7-year low of ₹963.30 on December 02, 2025, down 40% over the past 16 months.
The stock has lost 58% of its value since its record high in November 2021, on track for its worst yearly performance in 16 years.
Q2FY26 revenue fell 4% YoY to ₹801 crore, the worst in a decade, due to deferred purchases and a warehouse disruption.
Net profit declined 73.26% YoY to ₹13.9 crore, with gross margins falling 122 basis points to 55.4%.
Despite challenges, premium brands like Hush Puppies are growing, and sales momentum has improved since September 2025.
