CSMRS Inspects Polavaram Project Aggregates
Scientists from a special research station visited the Polavaram Irrigation Project to check the materials used in building the project.
They tested big and small pieces of rocks and concrete to make sure they are strong and good quality.
They also took some samples to test more in their lab.
The scientists were helped by some engineers and managers from the project.
They did this to make sure the project is built safely and correctly.
CSMRS scientists inspected aggregates used in the Polavaram Irrigation Project.
On-site tests were conducted on 20 mm and 40 mm aggregates.
Aggregates stored in block form were also inspected for quality control.
Samples were collected for further analysis at the CSMRS laboratory.
The inspection team included Water Resources Department engineers and MEIL officials.
