Political Tensions Rise in Maharashtra

In Maharashtra, political tensions are rising.

AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi accused the Mahayuti parties of pretending to contest the Latur civic polls independently, claiming that leaders from the BJP, Shiv Sena, and NCP met together in Mumbai.

Meanwhile, senior BJP leader Ashish Shelar insisted that the NCP must accept Veer Savarkar's ideology to align with the BJP.

NCP leaders reacted strongly, accusing the BJP of trying to impose its ideology.

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis downplayed the rift, stating that Ajit Pawar has never opposed Savarkar's ideology.

The disputes highlight the ideological differences within the Mahayuti alliance.
