McIntosh Falls Short of World Record in 200m Butterfly
At the World Aquatics Championships, Summer McIntosh swam an amazing race in the 200m butterfly, almost breaking a world record!
She finished with a time of 2:01.99, just a tiny bit slower than the record from 2009.
Other swimmers like Regan Smith and Elizabeth Dekkers also won medals.
A young 12-year-old swimmer from China, Yu Zidi, did great and finished fourth.
In the men's race, Leon Marchand won the 200m IM.
Summer McIntosh won the Women's 200m butterfly, missing the world record by a fraction of a second.
McIntosh clocked 2:01.99, just short of Liu Zige's 2009 record of 2:01.81.
Regan Smith of the USA won silver and Elizabeth Dekkers of Australia took bronze in the 200m butterfly.
12-year-old Yu Zidi of China finished fourth in the 200m butterfly.
Leon Marchand of France won the men's 200m IM, with Shaine Casas and Hubert Kos taking silver and bronze.
