BCB Sacks Director After Player Boycott Threat
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) had to take action against one of its directors, Najmul Islam, because he made some comments that upset the cricket players.
He said that the players were not worth the money and support they get, and even called a former captain, Tamim Iqbal, an 'agent of India'.
This made the players so angry that they threatened to stop playing cricket unless Najmul resigns.
The BCB said they were sorry for these comments and started disciplinary action against Najmul.
They also asked the players not to boycott cricket and reminded everyone that players are very important for the sport.
The BCB is hoping that the players will continue to play and help make the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) a success.
BCB sacked director Najmul Islam for his remarks against national cricketers.
Players threatened to boycott all cricket unless Islam resigned, delaying a BPL match.
