Nellore Authorities Plan ₹1,930 Crore Outer Ring Road
The district authorities in Nellore are planning to build a big road called the Outer Ring Road (ORR).
This road will be 83.64 kilometres long and will cost ₹1,930 crore.
The road will pass through four areas: Kovur, Sarvepalli, Nellore Rural, and Atmakur.
The plan has been waiting since 2023, and now the authorities are meeting to discuss how to make it happen.

The proposal has been pending since 2023 and will undergo changes after field-level examinations and consultations with MLAs and stakeholders.
NUDA Chairman Kotamreddy Srinivasulu Reddy described the ORR as a significant development and advised exploring options to reduce the overall length of the ORR.
Kovur MLA Vemireddy Prasanthi Reddy expressed concern over the lack of clarity on the alignment and stressed the importance of fair and transparent compensation for affected landowners.
