Hyderabad RTA faces smart card shortage
In Hyderabad, there's a big problem with getting special cards for cars called smart cards.
These cards have important information about the car.
The offices that give out these cards don't have enough of them, so people who need them have to wait a long time.
This is causing a lot of trouble for car owners.
They have to go to the offices many times and wait, but the offices aren't giving out the cards quickly.
Some offices have even stopped printing these cards for over a month.
A man named M Dayanand, who helps car owners, says this is not fair because people are paying money for these cards but not getting them.
He wants the offices to tell people in advance if there will be a delay.
RTA offices in Greater Hyderabad face a shortage of vehicle Registration Certificates (RC) smart cards for over two months.
Motorists experience severe inconvenience due to the delay in issuance of smart cards.

The transport department recently increased service charges but failed to issue the cards promptly.
