Punjab Commission overturns Rs 75,000 award in Labrador surgery case

Punjab Commission overturns Rs 75,000 award in Labrador surgery case

A person named Singh took his pregnant Labrador to a veterinarian for an operation.

He said the veterinarian gave him one live puppy and one dead puppy.

The dog still seemed sick, so Singh took her to another veterinarian.

That veterinarian reportedly found two dead fetuses inside her.

Singh complained to a consumer commission and initially received Rs 75,000.

The veterinarian denied treating the dog or receiving payment.

The Punjab State Commission said Singh had not provided documents proving that the veterinarian performed the operation.

It cancelled the earlier award and ordered money deposited by the veterinarian to be returned.
