Electrification of Sakleshpur-Subrahmanya Ghat Rail Section Completed
A very important train track in Karnataka, called the Sakleshpur–Subrahmanya Ghat section, has been fully electrified.
This means trains can now run better and faster on this track.
The track is 55 kilometers long and was very hard to build because of the mountains.
A man named Captain Brijesh Chowta, who is a member of parliament, worked hard to make this happen.
He thanked the prime minister and other important people for helping with the project.
This new electrified track will help move goods and people more easily between Bengaluru and the coastal areas, which is good for the economy.
The 55-km Sakleshpur–Subrahmanya Ghat rail section has been fully electrified, addressing a decades-old demand.
The project will improve train operations, increase line capacity, and enhance freight and passenger services.
Electrification is expected to accelerate port-based logistics and support trade activities linked to New Mangalore Port.
MP Captain Brijesh Chowta credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, and Minister of State for Railways V. Somanna for prioritizing the project.
Chowta had consistently pursued the issue through parliamentary interventions, including representations and budget discussions.
