Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Pakistan 'Islamic NATO' Pact Raises India Concern

Three countries — Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Pakistan — made a big promise to help each other if any of them is attacked.

They call this promise the Mecca Joint Defence Agreement, and some people call it an 'Islamic NATO.'

NATO is a group of countries that stick together for protection, so this new group works in a similar way.

Saudi Arabia brings money, Turkey brings clever technology like drones, and Pakistan brings lots of soldiers.

Pakistan's defence minister, Khawaja Asif, said the group should stand together against outside problems, and he mentioned Israel by name.

He also hinted at India, even though India is not part of the agreement.

India is worried because this could change the balance of power near its borders and in the Arabian Sea.

To stay safe, India plans to make stronger friends with the UAE and Oman, and to work more closely with countries like France, Greece, and Cyprus.

The agreement is very new, so nobody yet knows how much it will really change things.
