Neeraj Chopra Classic Postponed Amidst India-Pakistan Tensions
The Neeraj Chopra Classic, a track and field event, has been put on hold.
It was going to be held in India, organized by the athlete Neeraj Chopra himself.
The event was planned to have many famous athletes from India and other countries, but because of current tensions with Pakistan, organizers have decided to postpone the event.
They wanted to show support for the country and its armed forces.
The inaugural Neeraj Chopra Classic, originally set for May 24 in Bengaluru, has been postponed indefinitely.
The decision to postpone was made due to the current situation with Pakistan.
Double Olympic medallist Neeraj Chopra is part of the organizing team.
The event was to be jointly organized by Chopra and JSW Sports with the Athletics Federation of India (AFI) and World Athletics.
