Punjab Congress Faces Repeating Leadership Struggles
The Congress party in Punjab is facing the same kind of leadership problems it had a few years ago.
Back then, there was a big fight between two leaders, Navjot Singh Sidhu and Captain Amarinder Singh, which hurt the party.
Now, two other leaders, Charanjit Singh Channi and Amarinder Singh Raja Warring, are fighting for control.
The party's central leaders, like Rahul Gandhi, seem unable to stop these fights.
This is making the party look weak and divided, just like before.
The party lost badly in the 2022 elections, and if it doesn't fix these problems, it might lose again in the next elections.
It seems the Congress party hasn't learned from its past mistakes.
The Punjab Congress is experiencing a resurgence of internal leadership struggles similar to those in 2021.
Current tensions are between Charanjit Singh Channi and Amarinder Singh Raja Warring, both vying for control.
The central leadership, including Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge, has failed to effectively resolve the infighting.
The party's past failures, including the 2022 electoral defeat, stem from similar leadership conflicts.
The ongoing disputes risk weakening the party's position against the ruling AAP and expanding BJP in Punjab.
