Karnataka MSMEs Urged to Reduce Dependency on Foreign Machinery
In Karnataka, leaders are telling small businesses to stop relying on other countries, like China, for their machines.
One reason is that it's become hard to get repairs from China, which has caused problems for some businesses.
The government wants to help these small businesses by investing in things like better roads and electricity.
These businesses are really important because they create jobs and help the country's economy grow.
Big investments are planned for Bengaluru, including new metro lines and tunnels to help the city develop.
Deputy CM Shivakumar advised Karnataka MSMEs to reduce dependence on foreign machinery.
The advice was given at the India MSME Conclave in Karnataka.
MSMEs faced downtime and losses due to issues with Chinese machinery and trade barriers.
Shobha Karandlaje highlighted MSMEs' importance to the economy and the need for investment.
The government plans to invest over ₹1 lakh crore in Bengaluru's development.
