Hinduja Group Announces ₹2,500-Crore Tamil Nadu Investment For Renewable Energy

A big group of companies called Hinduja has decided to spend a very large amount of money — ₹2,500 crore — in a state of India called Tamil Nadu.

The group wants to use that money to make clean energy, like power from the sun and the wind.

It also wants to make electric buses that run on batteries instead of dirty fuel.

These buses will help people travel around Tamil Nadu without polluting the air.

The money will also support things like battery charging stations, cars, and digital ways to book and manage rides.

A leader of the group, Ashok Hinduja, said they believe Tamil Nadu is a great place for this work.

He said Tamil Nadu has a strong industrial base, talented people, and lots of renewable energy potential.

The group already has several businesses in Tamil Nadu, including Ashok Leyland and Gulf Oil.
