PSEB to Certify Academic and Vocational Education Under NSQF
Imagine your school giving you two report cards at the end of the year.
One report card shows how well you did in your regular classes like math and science.
The other report card shows what cool skills you learned, like how to fix a computer or build something.
The Punjab School Education Board is planning to do just that.
They want to make sure that when students finish school, they know important job skills in addition to their regular schoolwork.
This helps them get ready for jobs when they grow up.
PSEB is transitioning to certify both academic and vocational education.
This dual recognition will be aligned with the National Skills Qualifications Framework (NSQF).
Students will receive two qualifications simultaneously: one for academics and one for vocational skills.
The initiative aims to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical skill-based learning.
The goal is to equip graduates with industry-relevant competencies for future employment.
