Ongole Municipality Marks 150 Years With Civic Events
Ongole is celebrating 150 years since its municipality was established.
The celebrations are called “Our Ongole, Our Pride.”
Local officials want residents to take part in the events.
On Sunday, 150 free medical camps will provide several kinds of healthcare.
People can also receive free tests and essential medicines.
On September 19, workers will organize a large waste-segregation drive.
The city is also turning its daily waste into organic compost.

Ongole Municipality, established in 1876, is marking 150 years of civic development.
Officials announced 150 free medical camps offering consultations, tests, and medicines across the constituency.
A sanitation drive will cover 80,312 households on September 19 in an attempt to set a Guinness World Record for waste segregation.
A microbial process is being used to convert the city’s daily 75 metric tons of waste into organic compost.
A heritage walk with more than 3,000 participants is scheduled for September 27, followed by cultural programmes from September 28 to 30.
