Modi Urges Collective Effort for Drug-Free India

On India's Independence Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave a big speech from the Red Fort.

He talked about a serious problem: drug addiction.

He said drug addiction is becoming a big challenge for the country, especially for young people.

Mr. Modi wants India to be completely free of drugs.

He said it is everyone's job to help make this happen, not just the government.

He asked every family to join the campaign against drugs.

A special program called the Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan was already started on August 2.

This campaign will last for 100 weeks, which is almost two years.

Every Sunday, there will be fun and healthy activities like sports, walking events, meditation, and art competitions.

These activities will teach people why it is important to stay away from drugs.
