Aravalli Hills Face Degradation Amid Urbanization
The Aravalli hills in Gurgaon, Haryana, have been facing a lot of environmental problems.
A new study found that the forests and farms in this area have been shrinking, while buildings have been increasing.
This is happening because the city is growing very fast.
The study looked at four villages in the Aravalli area and found that there are many birds and even leopards living there.
This shows that the area is very important for wildlife.
The study was done by a group called the Sankala Foundation with help from the Embassy of Denmark.
At the same time, the Supreme Court of India is looking into how to protect the Aravalli hills because they are very important for the environment.
A study found that the Aravalli landscape in Gurgaon has been degrading over the last decade.
