Bengal SSC Teacher Exam Attracts Candidates from Other States
West Bengal held a teacher selection test on Sunday for about 23,000 teaching jobs.
Almost 320,000 people applied, and around 291,000 took the test.
Many came from other states like Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, due to a lack of job opportunities at home.
Some candidates expressed satisfaction with the questions, hoping to secure a teaching position.
The test was for positions in government-aided schools for classes IX and X, with another test planned for classes XI and XII.
SSC aims to finalize appointments by the end of December.
The School Service Commission (SSC) held a teacher selection test on Sunday.
Approximately 291,126 candidates appeared for 23,212 teaching posts.
Around 31,000 candidates came from other states, mainly Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.
Candidates from other states cited a lack of employment opportunities in their home states.
SSC officials are aiming to complete the recruitment process by December 31.
