Microsoft unveils biggest India data center in Hyderabad amid AI boom

Microsoft built its biggest data center in India, in the city of Hyderabad.

A data center is a big building full of computers that help apps, websites, and online services work.

Microsoft opened this new center on a Thursday.

Big companies like Adani Group and HDFC Bank will be among the first to use it.

The center is part of Microsoft's cloud service called Azure.

Now Microsoft has four cloud locations in India: Hyderabad, Pune, Chennai, and Mumbai.

Microsoft is spending about $20.5 billion to grow in India.

India has more than one billion internet users, which makes it an important market.

Other big companies like Google and Amazon are also building data centers in India.

Some people worry a planned Google data center could harm water and wildlife, but the government disagrees.
