Jharkhand students' exam protest draws celebrity, activist support

Many students in Jharkhand, a state in India, are very upset about their government job exams.

They say the exams were not fair because question papers were leaked.

Hundreds of students have been sitting peacefully at a big stadium in Ranchi to protest.

One student leader, Devendra Nath Mahato, stopped eating to show how serious the students are.

A famous activist named Sonam Wangchuk asked him to have water and promised to keep supporting the protest.

Mahato agreed and ended his hunger strike on Wednesday.

Movie stars like Sonakshi Sinha, Imran Khan, and Bhumi Pednekar also spoke up for the students online.

The students want the unfair exam cancelled and big investigation agencies to look into what happened.

They also want the option to say they did not attempt a question on their answer sheets.

Many people across India are now paying attention to Jharkhand.
