ANZA School Celebrates 200 Years
A very old school in Mumbai called Antonio Desouza High School, also known as ANZA, is celebrating its 200th birthday.
The school, which started in 1825, had special events for its students in December.
The school's old building, which is very important because of its special design, needs some fixing up.
The people who used to go to this school are also planning their own parties and are trying to raise money to make the school better.
They want to buy new things for the classrooms, the library, and the playground.
They also want to give special scholarships to students.
The school is located next to a famous church in Byculla, Mumbai.
Antonio Desouza High School (ANZA) in Byculla, Mumbai, celebrated its 200th anniversary with events for students on December 9-10.
Alumni are planning celebrations and a fundraising campaign from January 23-25 to raise ₹2 crore for school upgrades.
Proposed improvements include modernizing classrooms, laboratories, the library, and the playground, as well as introducing bi-centenary scholarships.
