Hindalco commissions 100 KLD ZLD plant in Odisha
Hindalco Industries Limited has started a new water recycling plant in Odisha.
This plant uses special technology to clean and reuse almost all the water used in the factory.
It helps the environment by not letting any dirty water go out and saves a lot of fresh water.
The plant cost about Rs 35 crore to build.
Important people from the government and the company were there when the plant started working.
This new plant makes Hindalco a leader in using water wisely and taking care of the environment.
Hindalco Industries Limited commissioned a 100 KLD Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) Plant with Mechanical Vapour Recompression (MVR) technology in Odisha's Sambalpur district.
The plant ensures complete recycling and reuse of industrial effluents, achieving 90–95% water recovery.
The project aligns with Hindalco’s vision of sustainability, resource efficiency, and achieving Water Positivity.
The inauguration was attended by officials from the Odisha State Pollution Control Board and Hindalco’s senior management team.
